4 absent employees of RDD suspended

Kathua, Febr 19: Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq Khan on Monday conducted surprise inspection of RDD offices in district Kathua and suspended four employees for dereliction of duties. The Minister made a surprise visit to ACD office and Executive Engineers Office of Rural Engineering Wing (REW) and found 4 employees absent. He passed direction for immediate suspension of these employees including BDO Headquarters and Two Junior Assistants.
The Minister also directed to suspend Draftsman for dereliction of duties as the minister found that the records of payments have not been maintained as per the standard format. The Minister also directed DC Kathua to seek explanation from these employees for negligence of duties. He said the government won't tolerate any kind of negligence of any official in deliverance of her/his duties and that the government will take strict action against such officials. Abdul Haq said that remaining absent from the duty results in hardships to the people who travel long distances to meet the officials for their grievances. Abdul Haq directed the officials to work with extra zeal so that the benefit of government sponsored welfare schemes reaches to common masses. The Minister also directed the officials of Rural Development to get ready for conducting Gram Sabha to prepare fresh list of PMAY beneficiaries.
He directed them to do proper publicity for holding Gram Sabhas so that maximum people participate to make list of genuine and deserving people are included in the list including those who have been left out in the earlier list of Socio-economic Cast Census.
