Srinagar, Feb 19: Security forces on Monday evening launched a Cordoned and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Shopian after some firing shots were heard, official sources said. They said on a tip off about the presence of some militants in an orchards at Poshwari, Shopian, troops of 44 Rashitriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of J&K police and 14 CRPF cordoned off the area. However, when the area was being sealed some firing shots were heard in the area. Additional security forces have been rushed from nearby camps in the area, they said adding that a massive Cordoned and Search Operation (CASO) has been launched. |
