| DB directs to submit ATR regarding illegal brick-kiln | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 3: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) highlighting degradation of environment due to the activities of brick kilns, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed and Justice Sanjeev Kumar after hearing Adv Munish Sharma for the PIL whereas AAG Rohit Kapoor for the state directed to file Action Taken report regarding illegal brick-kilns.
Division Bench observed that AAG Kapoor appearing on behalf of the J&K State Pollution Control Board as well as the other official respondents representing the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, submits that all brick kilns, which do not have the requisite permission from the State Pollution Control Board, shall be directed to be shut down in accordance with law and in compliance with law.
Division Bench directed AAG to makes the statement with regard to the brick kilns in the entire State will submit a report with regard to the action taken within four weeks. |
