Modi magic in Northeast
Omkar Dattatray3/8/2018 10:56:20 PM
The victory march of BJP is unstoppable as is evident by the thumping win of BJP in Northeast. The Ashwamedh Yaghya horse of BJP cannot be stopped by the congress and other opposition parties as BJP is readying itself for the general election of 2019. In North-eastern states congress is humiliated and Narinder Modi's prospects are on rise. The North Eastern states have shown spectacular improvement of BJP. Yogi Adityanath, the CM of UP has termed electoral performance of BJP in three North eastern states as historic. Hailing the BJP's victory in Tripura assembly poll, he credited the Lotus bloom to PM Modi's policies vis-à-vis the North-east and to the President Amit Shah. BJP has shaked the left bastion and has won the Assembly election with more than two-third majority in Tripura. It infact is due to Modi magic and charisma. BJP has made significant gains in both Tripura and Nagaland. State BJP president of Tripura Malvindra Nath Pandey said that this victory is a big achievement of the party ahead of the general election. Now North-east states will witness a new phase of development. He further said that people of North eastern states have given a befitting reply to parties who use them as vote banks and dump them after elections. The win in Northeastern states proves the popularity of the star campaigner Narinder Modi and is in fact the result of Modi magic. Now with the victory of Tripura and Nagaland, the BJP eyes are set on southern state of Karnataka. In the southern state BJP is looking to oust the opposition rather than defending its own citadel. Modi magic flourished in northeast as BJP registered a massive victory in the left stronghold. The party credited the favorable results of Tripura to PM Narinder Modi magic and the electorates' desire for change. Anti- incumbency played a great part in Tripura and Nagaland elections. BJP created history as it won a two third majority in Tripura assembly. From one percent votes two years ago Modi wave and magic pushed BJP to lead comfortably as it got over two-third seats and dethrone the CPIM after 25 years rule. BJP's win in Tripura over left is a victory of ideology. BJP alliance scripted history by winning assembly election with two-third majority, ending uninterrupted rule of CPI(M) lead left front in the North-eastern state. In fact, BJP has brought Delhi to the door steps of North-East. The BJP decimating the 25 year left rule in Tripura has breached the final frontier of those who called it a party of Hindus confined to Hindi heartland. With an empathetic win in Tripura where it has gone to 42 percent vote share from zero and the congress has been reduced to a mere two percent, the election is a story of relentless effort by the most formidable election machinery currently in Asia. There is also immense flexibility on agendas, issues and message. The BJP does not even whisper about beef ban in the North-East. Even in Nagaland the quick change of allies saw BJP backed government. As far as left goes it is now utterly irrelevant and likely to face oblivion soon ruling a single state of Kerela which the jubilant Amit Shah said was not on the agenda of BJP. With Meghalaya still hung the congress rushed its best managers Ahmed Patel and Kamal nath but it still begs the question as to why the complacent party always reacts post outcome. It is astonishing that the congress is still surprised as a similar story exploded in Goa and Arunachal Pradesh. In Meghalaya despite the congress emerging as the single largest party with 21 seats, the BJP that won only 2 seats supported the formation of non congress government with an alliance of regional parties. NPP leader Conrad Sangma took oath as the next CM of the state. The conquest of northeast is important. The North-Eastern states account for 24 Lok Sabha seats which will prove extremely handy in general election as the BJP tally will invariably slip in its strong holds of North and central India where it has reached saturation. The BJP can now claim it has ideologically vanquished the left and this victory came after years of ground work and toil by faithful RSS cadres. Ironically BJP has had to be flexible about the ideology in the North-East but both Shah and Modi are completely pragmatic. NPP's Conrad Sangma who became next CM of Meghalaya has a support of 34 MLAs. BJP-NDPP alliance is set to form a new government in Nagaland under Neiphiu Rio and ends 15 years reign of NPF. The BJP-NDPP alliance with three time former CM Neiphiu Rio as its leader is all set to form government in Nagaland. Biplab Deb will take oath on Thursday evening as the next CM of Tripura. In fact, BJP has shaken the foundations of left party and congress and all this has been possible thanks to Modi magic.
