Jammu, Mar 8: J&K State AIDS Control Society (JKSACS) inaugurated a six days induction training programs for the staff of Targeted Intervention (TI) projects empanelled with JKSACS. The programme is scheduled to close on 13th March at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu here today. The training programme was inaugurated by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Project Director JKSACS. The purpose of the induction training is to make staff of the empanelled TI's aware about the working & role of TI's & JKSACS in curbing the menace of HIV/AIDS in the state by targeting the high risk groups population and also to make them aware about the importance of early linkage with Integrated Counseling and Testing Centers (ICTCs). Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Project Director JKSACS informed the participants about the role and importance of engaging TI's for identifying the high risk population as well as the role of JKSACS in supporting the TI's and the purpose of regular training programmes. Others who spoke on the occasion were Dr. Tabassum Jabeen, DD (BS); Deepika B Thakur, DD (IEC), Dr. Sumeera Khan, PO (CST), Dr. Yashpal Karsyal, AD (BSD) and Irfan Bhat, AD (VBD) from JKSACS. |
