Jan questions Govt's silence over PAO protests | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 10: National Conference today hit out at state government for its silence over the protests of contractors and locking of government offices against implementation of PAO system. The decision of rotational Additional Deputy Commissioner posts in Rajouri district areas has also been termed as a mockery with system. In his statement, Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that government should have implemented PAO after end of current financial year and clearance of pending liabilities of contractors. " At a time when current financial year is about to end and contractors are already running from pillar to post for getting their liabilities cleared, Government has thrown a new Dijjin in the form of PAO making people suffer " Jan said. He asked Finance Minister of Jammu and Kashmir government to keep the PAO implementation on hold till liabilities of contractors are cleared. Jan also termed governments silence on it as unfortunate and said that a number of offices in Rajouri and Poonch have been locked by contractors and work is getting affected. |
