Jammu, Mar 10: Continuing its drive against the land mafia and Master Plan violation the JDA demolished various unauthorised structures and plinths raised by the encroachers over the JDA land. It is pertinent to mention that JDA has launched a crusade against the land mafia and the unauthorised structures are being removed on daily basis despite resistance by the encroachers. On getting report of the Master Plan violations, the khilafwarzi wing headed by Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, S Narinder Singh were deputed by the Vice Chairman JDA with a contingent of gangmen and khilafwarzi inspectors to carry out the anti encroachment drive. The drive was launched at Shiv Market, Rail Head Complex and Sidhra wherein a number of khokhas, reharies, plinths and boundary walls were removed. The VC JDA Rajesh Kumar Shavan, KAS said that the JDA will act very tough against the encroachers and lodge FIRs by name for the violations. He said that JDA will take up the matter with PHE and PDD authorities and ask them not to sanction electric /water connections in any manner and disconnect the same if installed illegally by encroachers. |
