| CAR holds protest against government | | |  Early Times Report
Ramban, Mar 10: Contractors Association Ramban (CAR) staged protest demonstration against the state government and government departments for non release of their payments from the last ten years, here today.
Speaking on the occasion association vice president Sham Singh Katoch said that the government is not releasing our pending bills from the past long time and it force us to boycott all tenders and developmental projects.
Accusing the government of being insensitive towards them Katoch said that this injustice will not tolerate further and will intensify protest till demands are fulfilled.
He further said that they have spent crores of rupees on maintenance and upgradation of development works but till date no funds have been released.
He said that most of the contractors had taken loans with hefty interest rates but dilly dallying approach of the government in clearing the pending bills force to pay the interest.
Farooq Katoch demanded that the government immediate release of the payment as the contractors continuously under loss for the negligent attitude of the government. |
