| 16-Year-old girl 'kidnapped', 'raped' in Ramnagar | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Mar 10: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped at Keya area of Ramnagar in district Udhampur during the intervening night of 9th and 10th March.
As per the reports, father of the victim (Name withheld) resident of Keya Ramnagar along with his daughter came to Police Station Ramnagar and reported that during intervening night two persons forcibly entered into their house and took away the daughter in the nearby forest area (Jungle) where one person namely Sunil, son of Munshi Ram, a resident of Dudu area of district Udhampur raped her. After getting the report police party of Police station Ramnagar swung into action and arrested one person namely Sanjeet of Basantgarh, who reportedly accompanied the rape accused at the time of crime. Main rape accused Sunil is still absconding. Meanwhile police launched manhunt to arrest the rape accused. Medical test of the victim have also been conducted. Police registered the case under Section 363/376/109 CrPC and further investigation is going on. |
