| Public Park constructed by PDD facing official apathy | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Mar 10: The public park constructed by Power Development Department (PDD) at Power House Ladan here is facing official apathy.
The unkempt park was made in the memory of PDD personnel who were killed while performing their professional duties. Earlier, it was thought that the park will be for the public but it has become a nuisance instead. Neither anyone ever visited the park for its maintenance nor gardener ever engaged for its care taking.
A local residential told Early Times that wild grass along with certain weeds has grown everywhere inside the park and there is nothing like cleanliness anywhere around the park.
There is even no place to sit inside the park.
"Litter and garbage is spread in the park which gives foul smell making it tough to remain there even for a moment," added Rajiv Singh. |
