Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 13: Rajouri police in a swift action booked unidentified Kashmiri students of BGSBU for raising pro-azadi and anti-national slogans inside the university campus after the killing of ex-student turned militant by the security forces in Kashmir on Monday.
Eisa Fazili alias Eisa Ruhullah r/o Srinagar was the student of 6th semester in the College of Engineering & Technology when he joined the militancy about 6 months ago under the influence of ISIS.
On Monday when the news of Fazili's death reached BGSBU, almost all the Kashmiri students especially from Engineering College boycotted their classes for three days and also offered Nimaze Jinaza in absentia.
Students from other parts of the state and from Rajouri and Poonch districts attended their classes on Monday.
At about midnight, according to sources, Kashmiri students including girls came out of their hostels and reportedly raised anti-national and pro-azadi slogans. Taking serious note of the activities of Kashmiri students, Rajouri police today booked unidentified students under sections 120-B, 124-A and 143-A RPC and started investigation.
"Police also contacted Vice Chancellor of BGSBU who also assured the police to initiate internal investigation and stringent action against the trouble makers" said SSP, Yougal Manhas.
The matter about Fazili's joining militancy came to light when he appeared with ISIS flag and gun on social media network.
BGSBU after confirmation from the police had rusticated the Fazili from the University and had also informed his father.
Even the father of Fazili, who according to sources is principal of a college, had appealed his son to return but he did not respond to his father's appeals.
"Police has started investigation and sought cooperation from BGSBU to identify the students involved in unlawful activities at BGSBU on the intervening night of March 12 & 13 and action under law will be taken against them who will be found involved" said SSP.
Sources said while Fazli was studying in the university he was delivering lectures to other students on Jihad.
