| Village Kanna inhabitants hold protest irregular water supply | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 13: A protest against PHE department held today to highlight irregular supply of water supply at village Kanna Shargal Upper, Ward No 5 Sandodi Mawali.
The protesting villagers said that they are facing acute shortage of water as the supply is irregular for the last 10 months. It may be mentioned here that the residents earlier held a protest on March 5 and the concerned Executive Engineer PHE Deptt had ensured then that the issue will be resolved within 5 -10 days but till date nothing has been done. The people of this village are mostly Gujjars and belong to poor community. The protesters said that they are facing several problems but the administration is not paying any attention towards this acute problem of water crisis. They appealed the government especially the Deputy Commissioner Jammu and higher authorities of PHE Department to solve their problem. |
