Jammu, Mar 13: As part of the ongoing NSS camp, around 60 volunteers along with staff members visited Old Age Home today at Ambphala, Jammu. During the visit the volunteers interacted well with the inmates of the home, who shared their experiences and how they have gracefully accepted the realities of life.
The volunteers entertained them by singing bhajans and songs which were fully enjoyed by the inmates and, in turn, they showered their blessings upon them. It was a learning experience for them regarding the values of home, family and the love and care the younger ones owe to the elderly people in their surroundings.
The programme officer NSS, Priya Gupta appreciated the management of the home for taking good care of the inmates and thanked them on behalf of college management for granting permission for the visit. |
