Jammu, Mar 13: Senior Artist of Jammu, Jang S. Verman will participate in National Art Festival being organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi from 14th to 18th March, 2018 at Patni Top (J&K). He has been invited along with other well known painters of the country, to participate in the prestigious event of the Akademi.
Jang S. Verman is well known artist of Jammu working in multi- media and working on innovative techniques.
He is writing on art & culture and is a writer of Punjabi also.
His art has been displayed internationally in Sweden, South Korea and India in international art exhibitions at New Delhi (thrice), Kolkata, Jammu (thrice), Chandigarh (twice), Naggar (Kullu) (four times), International art camp at Naggar (Kullu) (twice) and Bhamlada (Pathankot- Dalhousie Highway).
His art has been put on display and he has participated in art events at national and state level in cities like New Delhi, Benglore, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Amritsar, Sunderbani, Rajouri, Jammu, Shimla, Jalandhar, Bhamlada (Pathankot- Dalhousie Highway), Bhopal, Gwalior, Gajansoo (Indo- Pak border), Kargil and Chamba etc.
Jang S. Verman is recipient of awards and honours from prestigious organizations like All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, Chandigarh, H P State Museum, Simla, Centre for Cultural Resources (CCRT), New Delhi, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), New Delhi (Min. of Edu./ HRD), KVS, Jammu and others. His art works figure in important art galleries and museums in the country. |
