| Ranbir canal becomes threat to atmosphere: Chib | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 15: Shanker Singh Chib State Secy JKNPP said that the policies that the J&K Govt claimed for the welfare of farmers are totally baseless and at ground level there is no benefits given to the farmers.
Chib said that the Irrigation & Flood Control Department of J&K government is totally failed towards the welfare of the farmers. Chib questioned the government and concerned irrigation & flood control department why is there delaying of cleanliness of Ranbir canal.
He said that the condition of Ranbir Canal shows the failure of Irrigation & Flood Control Deptt. The water of the Ranbir Canal used for irrigating the fields by the farmers from "Ek Number Sua" to RS Pura and the cleanness drive which were done every year but only in a documents.
Jamwal said that more than 70 to 80% people of Marh and R S Pura are depend upon agriculture for their leaving and Ranbir Canal is one and only source of irrigation for them. He said that due to the closing of the Ranbir Canal their crops were on the finishing stage. |
