Jammu, Mar 15: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) conducted a special drive ahead of Navratras at Bahu Fort area today. The drive was conducted on the instructions of Commissioner, JCM Ramesh Kumar, under the supervision of Secretary, JMC Sunaina Sharma and Assistant Commissioner JMC, Vinakshi Koul. Enforcement Officer Kamini Kesar alongwith their enforcement team, Revenue Officers Parmod Sabharwal, Ashwani Sudan and Sunil Gupta of JMC, team of concerned police station and other field staff of JMC also accompanied the drive. Drive was mainly focused on encroachments of footpaths, illegal hoardings, illegal rehries/pharies, and polythene by shopkeepers, sanitation and other issues related to that area so that the forthcoming Navaratras Festival is celebrated in a smooth way. Special team of JMC removed 4 truckloads of illegal hoardings, illegal rehries/pharies and also removed encroachments from the footpath and pavements from the area. The authorities issued instructions to the shopkeepers of Bahu Fort area to keep their goods within their shutter line in order to maintain smooth flow of devotes to the holy shrine of Bawe Wali Mata Temple. |
