Jammu, Mar 16: Humming Buds, the Pre-School of MIER, celebrated Graduation Day 2018 to mark the culmination of the three years hard work, actualization of goals and celebrating the wonderful development of the children. Humming Buds has graduated over 1200 students since its inception and the class of 2018 included 34 students who were groomed and ready to take on the challenges of class one. Dr. Renu Gupta, Vice Chairperson, MIER was the chief guest on the occasion and Dr. Adit Gupta, Director MIER was the Guest of Honour. The function was attended by a large number of parents whose children are studying in Humming Buds. On this occasion students of UKG presented a group dance on the song 'It's a beautiful day'. This was followed by an energetic dance cum karate presentation which was enjoyed by one and all. The kindergarteners also sang a song 'two little words not goodbye' which evoked an emotional connect with faculty and parents. On the occasion a documentary highlighting the journey of Humming Buds from its inception in 2005 to the present date was also shown to the parents. The kids came on the stage and shared their memorable experiences and moments spent in humming buds in fluent English, impressing everyone with their mastery over the language. The first batch of Humming Buds students who are presently studying in grade 12 also shared their experiences. In her address to the parents, Dr. Renu Gupta said that the preschool was started with the motto of 'no studies, no homework, no uniform and no tension.' She also advised the parents to make learning as a joyous process without any pain and restriction. She congratulated the students, parents and the staff for their cooperation, hard work and dedication. The ceremony ended with graduation diplomas being distributed to the children by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Reeta Khanna, In- charge RR School. |
