Awareness camp on disaster management organized

Jammu, Mar 22: One day awareness camp on disaster management was organized at Saraswati Institute of Research Studies SS School Bishnah.
According to press release, the camp was organized by District administration in association with Civil Defence Jammu and SDRF Jammu. About 250 students and Staff members and local dignities participated in the training programme. Kanta Rakwal (KAS) Adiitional Deputy Commissioner Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Sh. K.K. Sharma (DSEO Jammu) was the guest of Honour. While speaking on the occasion, Kanta Rakwal said that aim of organizing such programme is to acquaint the public in general and youths in particulars about the Civil Defence activities and disaster management in order to minimize the loss of human lives and property during the disaster if any. She opined for compulsory training to massing in Civil Defence and disaster management. For the purpose she stressed to hold 5-day training programmes and mock exercises in near future in the district and involve maximum youth living in rural areas to the civil defence activities.
During this programnme, CD Instructors give a brief description on life saving methods like CPR, Choking etc. A well professional team of SDRF perefrom Mock Drill activity during the Training session. On the Occasion Mr. Khalid Rashid (I/C Deputy Controller Jammu), Paramjit Kumar (Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu), Th. Ranjit Singh (Deputy Chief Warden), Sh. R. Vijay Mangotra (Deputy Divisional Warden, Jammu), Sushil Singh Charak (Founder/Chief Functionary NDA), Smt. Reena Arora (Chair person JKD Trust). In the End Sh. Yogesh Jandial (Principal- SIRAS Sr. Sec. School, Bishnah) presents vote of thanks to all.
