Jammu, Mar 23: The opening ceremony of 8th J&K State Shooting championship was today held at General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club, Dogra Educational Complex, Bari Brahmana Jammu. According to press release, the championship will be held from 23rd March to 28th March 2018 where about 300 Shooters from across the State will battle for top honours and aim for the bulls eye. Dilbag Singh, IPS DGP Prisons, J&K was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The championship was declared open by firing of inaugural shots by the Chief Guest and young shooters at the world class shooting range. Kuldeep Singh Jamwal in his opening address briefed the august gathering about the activities of the Association. He was all praise for the shooters of J&K who are bringing laurels for the State and Country besides, the lack of shooting facilities and infrastructure in the State. Shreya Saxena of JKRA represented India in Junior Asian Championship at WAKO, Japan 2017. Besides, winning 11 Gold and 02 Silver Medals in National Championships in 2017. Kavya Kochhar of JKRA bagged 02 Gold, 02 Silver and 01 Bronze in National competitions in the year 2017. Those present on the occasion were V.S Pathania Senior Member JKRA, Sh.
