BJP - A crumbling hoax
Mahadeep Singh Jamwal4/1/2018 10:37:56 PM
Rightly said weak foundation is the reasoning for crumbling of the buildings. What my contention here is whether this logic is also applicable in politics? For a careful answer, it becomes imperative to look in detail, the graph of, Indian National Congress, Jammu Kashmir National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party and Bharatiya Janata Party, the main players across the State except BJP confined to the Jammu region and that too restricted to particular districts having Hindu population right from the first election for the Legislative Assembly of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir under its own Constitution that were held in March-June 1957. It becomes imperative to shuffle over the election results in entire constituencies of Jammu province since first election, to fix the parties base in the\ constituencies. The assembly wise analysis of each district speaks of the position as; 1. Kishtwar district with assembly segment of Kishtwar and Inderwal is a big house of JKNC followers as excepting 2014 Kishtwar never saw another MLA except from JKNC and in Inderwal twice by INC and two times by JKNC. BJP remained quite blank in this district except in 2014 when Kishtwar segment returned BJP MLA to the assembly. 2. Doda district having Doda and Bhaderwah assembly segments never accepted BJP prior to 2014 when it succeeded to get through in 2014. 3. Ramban district having Ramban and Banihal assembly segments has also not accepted BJP in Banihal segment but it surfaced in 1996 and 2014 in Ramban segment. 4. Reasi district comprising of Reasi, Gulabgarh, and Gool Arnas segments speaks of zero for BJP in Gulabgarh and Gool Arnas whereas Reasi has its MLAs from BJP only in 2008 and 2014. 5. Udhampur district having assembly segments Udhampur, Ramnagar, and Chenani cannot be claimed as having base of BJP. The Udhampur assembly only once i.e. in 1996 has sent its representative from BJP whereas in Ramnagar (turncoat from INC) and Chenani only in 2014. 6. Kathua district have assembly segments as Kathua, Hiranagar, Billawar, Basohli, and Bani. These constituencies excepting Hiranagar have sent its representatives for the maximum time from INC. Billawar remained represented by INC for the majority period and it saw emergence of BJP only in 2014. Basohli segment always having its representation from INC and BJP represented it in 2008 and in 2014 (turncoat from INC). Kathua has its representation from BJP only in 2014. Hirangar can be considered as having prints of BJP as this segment remained represented by it for maximum times. 7. Samba district with two assembly segments as Samba and Vijaypur, had ever been neglecting BJP excepting in 2014. 8. Rajouri district have four assembly segments as Rajouri, Kalakot, Nowshera, and Darhal but never represented by BJP till 2014, when BJP registered its representation in Kalakot and Nowshera only. 9. Poonch district having assembly segments as Poonch Haveli, Mendhar, and Surankot never returned its representative from BJP and the party is rootless in this district.
The analysis based on representation factor in above nine districts is enough to arrive at the conclusion that BJP has sparkled in only 2014 in these districts and rare twinkle in some assembly segments and completely rejected in maximum assembly segments of these districts. So we are left with Jammu district to arrive at conclusion that BJP deserve to be credited to have the right to claim this district as its working constituency that too excepting Akhnoor, and Chambh that saw BJP MLAs only in 2014 and in rest of the assembly segments its presence registered only in 2008 (11) and 2014 (25) to the maximum. The winning of 11 seats in 2008 and 25 seats in 2014 are required to be further analyzed for a careful reply to the quarry raised in the beginning of the article. We well remember the reasons of 11 seats in 2008. It was the outcome of the 'Amarnath Land Row' fully exploited by BJP and saffron brigade. People casted their vote in favor of BJP, political face of saffron brigade, on exploited sentiments and not BJP as an acceptable party. Their intentions very soon were exposed when eight of them voted NC candidate in legislative council elections by selling out the confidence of the voters in exchange of money. The positive results of 2014 need not require any detail reason as the Modi wave was on high tide across the country and his own commitments carried the voters away and they voted under the intoxication of false commitments and promises of PM of country Mr Modi. Without any second thought Jammuites stamped every Tom, Dick, and Harry contesting the election on BJP symbol. It is on the bases of these two elections BJP claims itself to be the voice of Jammuites that were based on religious exploitation and false commitments and hollow slogans of the party. The people in general now murmur "Pehley To Bechi Thee Khushbu Chaman ki - Ab yeh Poora Chaman Bech Rahain Hai" in context to selling out of aspirations of voters in 2008 and now total surrender to Kashmir centric PDP. Based on the true facts, we can conclude that BJP has no foundation in Jammu region and is bound to crumble and the tag it carry as party of agitations, 'Bandh Calls' and exploitations is quite honest tag. The party MLAs failed to deliver and it is the fraternity that has contributed in enhancing the discrimination with Jammuites in the jobs, allotment of funds, development in one and all fields. This fraternity has created inter-district gap. Whatever in the shape of easement in health sector, technical institutions, is something else comes to Jammu region is grabbed by majority Jammu representation and keep it confined to Jammu that too within a radius of 20 kilometers with total ignorance of the share of other districts of Jammu province. This politics of Jammu based leaders time and again fooled and manipulated to divert resources only in one area and thus deprived the other districts of their due share and in this process, the various districts are the worse affected. There is interring rivalry in BJPs ministers and on the other side it is mute spectator to various decisions of PDP and some of them can be counted as recent one such as; They were not considered worth for consultation, when the order to impose service tax on the helicopter services in Katra was issued. They were made to understand their importance in the government, when much publicized letter by Dy CM to CM requesting to declare 23 September, the birth anniversary of last Hindu ruler of J&K, as a public holiday, was consigned to dustbin by CM. Pages of the memory are still afresh when a controversy was seen with regard to Gujjar community over eviction and Forest Minister was tagged by anti-nationals by stating that "This outburst of the communal minister is the perfect reflection of the mindset of the RSS and the Sangh Parivar, . Any untoward incident with any Jammu Muslim will invite a storm in the entire state that will wash away people like Lal Singh." These statement were never condemned by the BJP rather PDP leaders suggested to the Minister to be more responsible. Ultimately the directions of CM not to evict tribal from illegal encroachments and direction to police not to provide force during anti encroachment drive against tribal (Media reports) is another helplessness on the part of BJP. The rape cum murder of Asifa is recent addition to BJPs helplessness. At the outset of controversy two heavy weight Ministers jumped into the fray but they have to keep their mouth shut when PDP frowned on BJP on this issue. The ongoing agitation for district status in Nowshera has sent some high pitched BJP Ministers and leaders of the area to hibernation to save themselves from wrath of the public for their silence and surrender to PDP. The fourth pillar of democracy is doing its sincere job to highlight the sentiments of common man about proven useless quota of present representation. The politics for BJP MLAs is they say they are going to do one thing while intending to do another, ultimately fail to do anything. Concluding come what may, the lust for power by BJP, is the reason that these people as a shameless fraternity is even happy for its condemnation by one and all from Jammu region and riding on the shoulders of the administration are still busy in befooling the common man by organizing meetings, camps, celebrations etc. highlighting their performance (zero) in most deceptive way and some stooges and blind followers are their audience, whereas common and aware community is crying beneath the crumbling BJP. In the context my sincere advice in continuation to one earlier published day ago under heading "Sincere advice to BJP - Good-bye is better than to attract Get-lost", is "The worst of guardians is a cruel ruler. Beware of becoming one of them".
