India, Pakistan troops exchange heavy firing on LoC | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 1: Heavy exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani troops took place on Sunday afternoon across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. The troops from Pakistan army started unprovoked firing at forward Indian positions in Khari Karmara area of Poonch. According to the police officer, heavy shelling started from the Pakistani side at 1 p.m. and continued for nearly half an hour. "Indian positions retaliated effectively and strongly," he added. India summons Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner over killing of civilians in Poonch, lodges strong protest. |
