Self-Awareness Program held at MVI School

Jammu, May 5: MV International School organized 'Self Awareness Program' in collaboration with Directorate of Home Guards- Civil Defence & SDRF J&K in which about 200 persons including students, teachers, Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers participated. K.L. Dogra Principal MVIS presented welcome address. Disaster related equipments were displayed and demonstrated by the team. Speaking on the occasion DSP Civil Defence, Sh. Rajesh Sandal enlightened the students and the staff with his motivational speech about the latest techniques of emergency operations in our day to day life.
During the programme, SDRF instructors delivered lecture on first aid, firefighting, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and rescue techniques as well as First Aid. Civil Defence officials Deputy Chief Warden Sanjay Gupta, Divisional warden Sh. Raj Singh, Post Warden Sh. Ramesh Kapoor, Post Warden Narsingh Dayal, Instructor Jyoti Parkash, Instructor Anil Choudhary, ASI Surinder Singh along with a team of 15 officials were present on the occasion. Students of Class 10th,11th & 12th attended the program, they assured the Civil Defence officials that they will use today's gained knowledge in the hour of need and will spread awareness of self defence to family and friends.
