BANDIPORA, May 5: Police on Saturday recovered bodies of two persons (Uncle and Nephew) at Shahgund area of Hajin area of North Kashmir's Bandipora district. A senior Police officer said that the locals had informed about the killing of two locals of Shahgund. A police team immediately reached the spot and found that two bullet riddled bodies were lying near Rahim Dar Mohalla that is about IKm away from the residence of the deceased, the police official told Early Times. When asked about the cause of death, the official further said that during the intervening night of May 4-5, militants barged into the houses of Uncle-Nephew Ghulam Hassan Dar and Bashir Ahmad Dar R/O Gulshan Mohalla, Shahgund Hajin, after which they abducted both of them. Preliminary investigation suggests the involvement of outlawed terror outfit LeT in the incident. At about 3:30AM on May 5, the militants shot both of them dead. The dead bodies were found by the locals near a mosque at Raheem Dar Mohalla in Shahgund village of Hajin area. The deceased were identified as Ghulam Hassan Rassa 45, S/O Ab Jabbar Rassa, (Uncle) and Bashir Ahmad Rassa 26, (Nephew) son of Abdul Rehman Rassa, both were residents of Shahgund Mohalla of Hajin town. A case has been registered and investigations have been taken up, the officer added. |
