| Shopian encounter over, five militants killed | | |
Shopian, May 06 Agencies: Five militants have been killed in Badigam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district and the encounter that erupted early Sunday morning has come to an end.
Confirming the killing of five militants in the encounter the Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid took to micro blogging social networking website twitter and said “Encounter concluded at Badigam Zainpora Shopian, 5 bodies of terrorists recovered. Well done boys - Army/ CRPF/J&K Police.”
Among the five militants killed is also the top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Saddam Padroo.
