| Sathra people protest for potable water | | |  Early Times Report
Mandi, May 12: The residents of block Sathra Teh Mandi today morning staged protest against the department of Public Health Engineering (PHE) for non-availability of potable water in the area.
A large number of people alleged that the department had been ignoring the area from the last two weeks.
They said the water supply in their area is not sufficient and people are facing hardships to meet their basic requirements. On the other hand, the PHE Department has shown no concern in this matter .
The locals are getting water from private water tankers on payment. It is pertinent to mention that adjoining areas are provided enough water but the PHE has ignored the said area.
The locals said that they approached the PHE deptt officially several times but no action was taken. |
