| All J&K Sikh Unity Forum holds strong protest against NEET authorities | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, May 12: All J&K Sikh Unity Forum held a strong protest against the NEET authorities at Vijaypur . Protest was led by Jagdeep Singh Chahal, State General Secretary of All J&K Sikh Unity Forum (Student Wing). Hundreds of students joined the protest outside Jammu University and Condemned the act of NEET authorities. Students demanded strict action against authorities. Jagdeep singh, while addressing the media said that this act is direct attack on their faith and religion. As this is fundamental right of Sikh Community to carry out "Kirpan" anywhere. He also added that they will not tolerate these anti-religious acts. Further briefing to the press he said that, students with "Kirpan" and "Hijab" restrained from entering into examination hall which led to serious sense of disappointment among students. Further he added that Govt must ensure authorities to follow the guidelines of Court and also it is a fundamental right which should not be violated again.
He also threatened to intensify the protest if strict action will not be taken on entrance conducting authorities.
Protest was also joined by other senior student wing leaders RV Randhawa, Dilawar Singh, Taran Sandhu, Bunty Singh and Mandeep Sigh |
