5/19/2018 12:02:48 AM
Early Times Report

Rajouri, May 18: In a strange development a Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), in Rajouri district has not taken any action against two government teachers who are unauthorisedly absent from duty for the last 10 and 3 months respectively.
The teachers have been identified as Iftikhar Ahmed absent from duties since 20/7.2017 from high school Kundal and Anwar Hussain absent from duty from February 20 from primary school Doba both under Khwas education zone. Meanwhile acting tough, Ch Lal Hussain ,CEO has also suspended other three teachers, namely Anwar Hussain , Mohd Shakoor, both posted in middle school at Marhutta and Toseef Ahmed of middle school Kotegali , found absent during surprise inspections on may 15. After several complaints of non-seriousness of the government school teachers towards their legitimate duties, CEO along with three other teams conducted surprise inspections of several schools in Khwas education zone.
The school inspected include Middle schools at Dharamshal, Gadyog, Marhutta, Kotegali, Thalla Chapper, high schools at Kundal, Badhal and primary schools at Sangarsoo, Doba & Banatri.
Irked over the casual approach of the teachers at these schools towards the welfare of poor students, distribution of mid day meal, academic standard of the students, poor maintenance of the infrastructure, no proper records etc, CEO has issued strict warnings to the erring teachers to improve the academic standard of the students.
"Majority of the staff (teachers) posted in these schools were found non-serious towards their duties. 15 days time has been given to them (before next inspection) to improve the academic side of the students. The defaulter teachers will face strict action if no improvement was found during next inspection" said CEO, Ch Lal Hussain.
He added further investigation is underway about the unauthorized absent of two teachers since a long time.
