Plastic polythene a great threat to human survival: WTH | | | Jammu, May 19: Addressing students of Government High School for Girls City Chowk Jammu, P K Ganju the senior resource person of the trust asked the students and teaching staff of the school to take initiative by minimizing use of plastic & polythene in the school as well as at their homes. The student community can become good messengers to spread the message to "Beat the Plastic", which is theme of the International Environment Day on 5th of June 2018 and India has been selected as host country for the same. Plastic polythene being non biodegradable for 500 - 1000 years has become a grave danger for human as well the whole nature on this earth. Sooner or later, the governments need to announce and adopt strict policies imposing complete ban on use of plastic polythene. Earlier, inaugurating free eyes screening and dental checkup camp in the school, Justice Y S Manhas Principal Secretary Law (Retired) exhorted student community to be part of "Clean Environment Green Environment" campaign, vigorously and also appreciated efforts put in by "we The Human" in raking up serious environmental issues as well as organizing free medical camps for students and people living in rural & far flung areas. |
