New passage to Mata Vaishno Devi attracting devotees, tourists | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, May 19: The newly created passage to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan from Banganga has become huge attraction of the devotees and tourists across the country, with its fascinating views and facilities provided along the road. This 13 kilometers long passage is so designed that the devotees can cover the distance without much physical effort as the gradual gradient of the road is ideal for pilgrims of every age unlike old passage which has sharp slope at many places. A number of drinking water points have been made with outlets selling eatables along the road. Besides, beautiful landscaping has been done giving mesmerizing view of the area and different varieties of flowers grown in the garden present a pleasant ambience to the visitors. While sharing the experiences of this new passage, Meenakshi Gupta, Pawan Kumar, Reha Kumari, Komal Devi and Pawan Narayana, a family from Delhi told Early Times that the new road to Bhawan is very comfortable and the facilities provided along this passage are adequate. The gradual gradient of the road has made the pilgrimage effortless. They appreciated the efforts of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for the making the trek easier for pilgrims. They further said that new passage is much wider than the old one. The old traditional path was very narrow and steep which made it difficult to walk. |
