Anganwadi workers protest for salary hike | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, June 5 : Anganwari workers staged protest in Udhampur on Tuesday demanding wage hike from the state government. The workers sat on 'dharna' holding black flags in front of Deputy Commissioner's office and blocked the road. They shouted slogans against the J-K government and ruling alliances. Police reached the spot and tried to pacify the protesters. The protestors said that they will continue protesting till their demands are not fulfilled. Hundreds of Anganwadi workers have been on a strike for nearly three months demanding release of their salaries and a hike in honorarium. |
