| Residents protest waster scarcity in villages | | |  Early Times Report
Mendhar, June 5: The residents of Gohlad and other adjoining areas staged a protest against Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department Mendhar.
Amid slogans against PHE department, and local legislator, the protesters assembled at Mian Chowk Mendhar and blocked the vehicular movement.
During protest, long queues of vehicles were witnessed on the road. The protesters alleged that there was no water supply in their area for the past around one month , due to which they are facing manifold problems to carry out their day to day activities.
After getting information, SDM Mendhar DR Tanvir Ahmed Khan Tehsildar Mendhar Jehangir Khan Naib Tehasildar T A Shah and a police team led by SI Shoket Amin rushed to the spot and pacified the protesting people by assuring them to take up the issue with the concerned authorities.
On the assurance, the protesters dispersed and vehicular movement was restored on the highway. |
