JAMMU, June 5: World Environment Day was celebrated at Chowki Choura. An awareness progr-amme was held at HSS Chowki choura for clean environment and healthy living.
All the departments participated in the programme and a cleanliness drive was held at the main market and Kapagalla local vegetable market.
Local officers, BDO Chowki Choura Ambika Bali, Naib Tehsildar Yashpal Sharma, BMO Ashok Kumar, ZEO Ramrakha Verma and all the local staff along with local volunteers participated in the programme. Four kilograms polythene was also seized from the local vendors and shopkeepers. |
