IPL - Betting and Bigwigs
Sahil Bhat6/5/2018 11:13:02 PM
Fast money in today's world is - betting! Albeit, unlike other nations, India hasn't advanced enough to deploy it in a small ordinary routine like - which celebrity is wearing which colour on red carpet, it's a peerless performer when it comes to sports, particularly cricket. All we know about cricket is - it's a religion in India and with a change in mechanism - resulting in IPL, it has garnered much attention. This gradually has led Betting Bugs to become active participants of its inclusion that has triggered massive mayhem. Regulating cricket betting in India was recommendation of law commission with some stringent rules and nothing was seen as a conclusion. The highly speculated episode of Arbaaz Khan is recent blow to the activity that incorporates a fractured mechanism involving illicit.
It has its cons like addiction; increase in crime rate and many more, which can be mended easily if they are made subject to intense scrutiny under requisite policy. Also, one can apparently see its benefits as to revenue generation and further raising to elephant economy for country by collecting hefty taxes. One must pay heeds to the other professions in world which are good in terms of revenue generation, however, do not hold the moral ethics identifying particular country like drugs, prostitution and many more. We as a nation hold birth right to compete, emerge and establish, but not at the cost of our fundamentals. There are several aspects in regard to goodness which keep us aloof from other nations and help boost our morality.
Another significant development that lands us flabbergasted is the media dictate as Dawood's agent, which is not incorrect but linking Bollywood with it has become an old fashion now. At least, government should regulate a special law for celebrities that on one hand gives them liberty to relish their status and on the other keeps an eye over their routine. This certainly could weaken the grassroots of barbarous felon like Dawood who doesn't deter to hold priority in India when it comes to any mal practice.
We all know, since, the invention of IPL, it has been the house of controversy blaring the involvement of high profile citizens, tycoons and celebrities. All we tell about it is less as it shapes steadily. Frankly, for around a decade of its function, it has not led behind entertaining us vehemently, also it has stuck to several disagreements by critics owing to the culture it dwells in it. One can think to disregard the dark side and focus on the half glass full but how can one nullify the dark side when it's sharpening its existence.
Scrutinizing all this, there is a need to have a legitimate authoritative body, governing the parameters of IPL and making public its move every now and then. This would assist to curtail anarchy revamping the smooth flow of game, and give it a spectacle to watch. One must implement it sooner course of action.
