| GCW Udhampur organizes poster making competition | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 5: Government College for Women Udhampur organized a poster making competition on the topic "Reduce, Re-Use and Recycle" in the backdrop of "World Environment Day" on 05-06-2018. Almost 17 students including NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers took part in the competition. Participants participated in the event with absolute zeal. All of them gave the message of avoiding the use of plastic in their day to day routine with the aid of posters. Prof. B.P Singh, Prof. Swarna Bhougal and Prof. Sanjay Kumar were the jury members.
All the contests were good to their capabilities and after a thorough evaluation by the jury members three of the participants namely Sheetal Sharma got third prize, Vidushi Bamotra got 2nd prize and Aakriti Sharma got 1st prize. Dr. Chander Shekhar, Principal GCW Udhampur was the chief guest of the occasion. Speaking on the occasion he encouraged the students to participate in these sorts of activities along with the curriculum. The programmes ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Sanjay Kumar NSS Programme Officer GCW Udhampur. |
