Hundreds of fish die in famous Jakh pond | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, June 15: Hundreds of fish have died in Jakh pond in Vijaypur area of District Samba raising concerns among the locals. According to the report, the locals noticed that hundreds of fish had died in the pond located on the Jammu Pathankot National Highway near Jakh. People said that the polluted water was the reason behind the incident and rued that even as the fish started dying two days back, the department concerned did nothing despite being informed about it. Villagers demanded that the department of fisheries must come and assess the water to know the reason behind dying of the fish in such a large number. |
