| Rains cheer Udhampur farmers | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur 29 June : Rainfall in Udhampur district and adjoining areas brought cheers to the farmers who were fighting the dry spell. Many farmers had to reduce their irrigation efforts because of lack of water, but now the farmers have hope that they can sow the seasonal crops.
Harbans Singh Agriculture Sub Divisional officer while talking to Early times said that in Udhampur Subdivision the farmers had sown crops on 15000 hecteres of the total 21700 hectares because of dry weather.
He said the the rain had generated fredh hopes amongst the farmers. |
