JAMMU, June 29: Three days " Duggar Sanskriti Mahotsav" at Sudhmahadev presented by Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan , in close coordination with the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports ,Chenani , Sudhmahadev Mela Committee, Administration, Chenani , Dept. of J&K Information authority at Govt. Higher Secondary School , Sudhmahadev concluded. The Chief Guest on the occasion Pardeep Singh, Mela Officer Sudhmahadev and Mohammad Rafik, Naib Teshildar, Ram Lal Badyal, ZPEO Chenani, Balbir chand, Choki Office were Guest of Honours . The Senior staff of the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, Chenani , Kishore Kumar, Rakesh ji and others were presents on the occasion . The programme commenced with the Karak "Jottan Jagdian" by Ali Mohd party and Bhajan " Shiv Naam Teri Mahima" by Zulekha farid and Usha Handoo, Renowned artists of J&K. The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such an events historical festival and highlighted the importance of dugger culture in promoting traditional folk and culture including folk music and folk dances. The special attraction of the program was renowned singer of J&K, MC, Kotwal and Party, Sajan and party from Ludhiana Punjab and Raju and Party, Chahat and Saini and Party enthrilled the devotees the items presented. The children of education department were also presented various cultural items on traditional folk. The programe was conducted by Anil verma, Directorate of Youth Service and Sport. More than 20 thousand pilgrims witnessed the performance. Despite rains, thousands of devotees thronged Sudhmahadev temple today to seek the blessing of Lord Shiva amidst festivities around the Mela site. Welcoming the dignitaries ML Dogra, Chairman BLSKS, explained aims and objective of the program and said the Sansthan is dedicates to promote and preserve the traditional folk culture of J&K. More than 40 thousand devotees from J&K & outside state visited the Holy sudh Mahadev temple to seek the blessing of lord shiva on first and second Day Ashadha Purnima. The singers, musician and actors who performed were Usha Handoo, Sahil Kumar, Rajni Gupta, MC Kotwal, Kuldeep Raj, Richu, Tilak Raj, Lab Singh, Zulekha Farid, Rajinder Singh Saini, Chahat Chadha, Neha Mehra, and many others presented the performance. |
