ADC Koteranka reviews functioning of health department

RAJOURI, June 29: The Additional Deputy Commissioner Koteranka Janab Shafiq Ahmed KAS, held a review meeting of Health sector Block koteranka in which, all incharges, Supervisory staff and female multi purpose health workers, Community Health Officers, attended the meeting. Reports regarding the functioning of health department wad discussed in detail. Dr Iqbal Malik Block Medical Officer Kandi informed in the meeting that Sub Centres Kandra, Hayatwali, Kalachanger, Najeri Jamola, Muruta and Chamitrar have been made functional by internal arrangement.
The meeting was held pointwise in which review of JSY JSSK, RBSK, immunization, RKS, status of construction work of various buildings of PHC, NTPHC, Health Sub Centres and allopathic Dispensaries and creation of an additional infrastructure of sub-district hospitals/CHC/PHCs besides repair and compound walling of health institutions has been taken.
Stressing the need for revenue entries of lands and buildings of the department and discouraging encroachments, Worthy ADC directed the BMO to endeavour to retrieve the encroached land with help of revenue authorities, get it demarcated and entered in revenue records. The meeting also embarked on the issue of shortage of ambulances and staff in the Block. It was informed that all ambulances of CHC KANDI are off the road and there is a dire need of Ambulance In CHC KANDI. The BMO was directed to auction and write off all dead stock item which are lying idle and occupying space in CHC and PHCs.
Taking serious note of non-implementation of Cabinet decision for cancellation of attachments and subsequent orders of district administration it was decided that all staff attachment outside the Block/district shall be treated as on unauthorised absence til they join their duties at the original place of posting.
Worthy ADC also inaugurated an innovative patient counselling centre which is first of its kind in the District in presence of Block Medical Officer Kandi. Block Medical Officer, Dr Malik, thanked Worthy ADC on behalf of all the staff members of the block and ensured to work with more dedication and enthusiasm so as to provide efficient doorstep healthcare facilities.
