Chemist's house raided, around 7000 banned capsules, tablets seized | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 1: In a major success, Rajouri police today recovered a huge consignment of banned drugs from the house of a chemist who used to sell the same among drug addict youths of Kalakote area of Rajouri district. Few days ago, Rajouri police received specific information that a boy namely Narinder Kumar of Kharak Panja falling under the jurisdiction of Kalakote police station is selling banned drugs among the local youth and especially among the drug addicts. "Based on the information, a special team headed by SHO Kalakote-Mushtaj Hussain under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera-Khaliq Choudhary started to develop the information besides authenticating the same and found that information received is authentic", said police spokesman. Spokesman further said that today morning, in the presence of Executive Magistrate, a team of police under the overall supervision of Additional SP Nowshera, Master Popsy raided the house of said boy and conducted thorough physical search during which huge quantity of banned drugs was recovered. These seized drugs included 880 Tab (Escitalopoam oxalate colenozepam), 5025 tab (Aprazolam), 960 tremadole hydrocholoride, 760 tab (tremadole), 340 capsules (tremadole), 8 bottles (codein phosphate). On this recovery a case under FIR no 46/2018 under section 8/20/21 NDPS Act, 48(A) Excise Act has been registered and investigation has been started to unearth more links in it. |
