JAMMU, July 1: Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal today flagged off week long 16th annual Holy Singhasan Mata Jyot Yatra, from Rani Talab, Digiana to Chitto Paddar in Gulabgarh belt of Kishtwar district. Hundreds of devotees including youth, women and children led by Sagun Sharma today assembled at Rani Talab, Digiana Temple and started yatra, in the shape of procession, amidst dancing on the tunes of drumbeats and enchanting Jai Mata Di. Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu who was the chief guest on the occasion, while flagging off the yatra said, "The participation of youth in religious activities helps them in inculcating nationalist approach as no religion preaches hate. Besides, such activities also help them in utilizing their energy in a positive manner." In his address, Zorawar Singh Jamwal called upon women to motivate their wards to take part in religious activities besides focusing in education as such programs also motivate them to stay away from anti-social activities like drug abuse. |
