DLL appointments, back-date service effect scandalous; VC made money: JYF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 16: Seeking CBI probe in regularization of three persons in Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL) of University of Jammu (JU) against two posts and subsequently granting them back date effect of service, the Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) today alleged the Vice Chancellor did the same in lieu of monetary considerations. Addressing a press conference here today, Ajaz Khan State President JYF Said that The Governor swiftly took over the control of administration and pulled everything up within days. Owing to his administrative skills, work culture has drastically improved in all the departments," Khan said. It seems that Governor has no control over the University teachers and officials that's why he deliberately keep himself out of the Varsity affairs so as to save his reputation, he said adding that Vice Chancellor violated UGC norms on several occasions and should have been held accountable for that but, the office of the Chancellor remained mum. Ajaz Khan highlighted that JU authorities had engaged three persons against two posts in the Department of Lifelong Learning in 2008. "Later, two of them were absorbed against the two posts of Project Officers. However, the third person Sandeep Singh was absorbed against the post of Programme Officer (converted to the post of Assistant Professor) without holding any interview. Interestingly, 41 applications were received by the University for the Post of Programme Officer in 2013. But, the post was clandestinely converted into a teaching post and Sandeep Singh was adjusted on the same," he claimed. |
