ROF discusses issues of pensioners | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 16: An emergency meeting of the Retired Officers Forum, Jammu was convened on under the Chairmanship of ID Soni, President of the Forum to deliberate on some burning issues of the pensioners. The members appreciated compassionate-feelings, positive-thinking clear-perception, and helping attitude of the Governor, NN Vohra and requested to him to re-examine the issue of submission of formulation-II of the pensions as majority of the Family pensioners (both male/Female) are unable to pass through this lengthy process of visiting their heads of the offices for attestation and submission to the treasuries for onward submission to the A.G. Office. They further said that that the some of the incumbents have retired from other province and are settled now either in the state somewhere in the villages or else outside state so under these circumstances it is difficult for them to undergo this process, as such request for re-examination with the request to provide solace and deserved courtesy. The forum requested Governor to look into the disparity created between Govt. employees and pensioners in respect of disbursement of arrears of 7th Pay Commission. The Govt. employees have been disbursed arrears in one go with a more premium to credit their arrears in the respective G.P. Fund accounts where as in respect of pensioners the payment of arrears having age between 60-80 years has been allowed to be paid in three installments w.e.f. 1-10-2018 to 01-10-2019 which amounts to injustice and as such Forum requests that all Govt. Pensioners may please be treated equally avoiding disparity and enhancement of Medical Allowance. |
