7/16/2018 11:32:16 PM
Early Times Report
anantnag, July 16: Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a case against a senior revenue officer for defying government orders and carrying out bullying activities.
The case against the suspended officer has been registered at Police Station Dooru on the request of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan.
Khan had earlier directed Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dooru to initiate action against the Tehsildar, who was suspended last month, for carrying out bullying activities
Quoting a CID department report, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in its order had said that on July 07, 2018 Muzaffer Ahmad Malik (Suspended Tehsildar) has visited Tehsil Office Dooru and bragged illegally into the office by breaking the lock.
"In this connection you are directed to register an FIR against the concerned immediately," reads the order, a copy of which is available with Early Times.
A police officer confirmed to have booked the revenue officer under different sections of law. "SDM Dooru on the directions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir approached Police Station Dooru with a written complaint and the revenue officer, who had defied the orders and carried out some illegal activities, was booked," he said.
On June 28th, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan (Vide No. 166 DIVCOM-2018 DATED 28-06-2018) placed three revenue officer including Tehsildar Dooru Muzaffer Ahmad Malik, Mohammad Yousf Bhat, Girdawar Circle Verinag and Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Girdawar Circle Dooru holding the charge of Patwar Halqa under suspension after an internal inquiry found them guilty. "Additional Commissioner Kashmir, who was appointed an enquiry officer has intimated that the spot verification was conducted and it was found that illegal constructions have been raised on Abi-Awal land in Dalwachi in contravention to section 113 A of Land Revenue Act and these constructions have came up without any hindrance put in by the revenue authorities," reads the order.
The preliminary enquiry by the Additional Commissioner Kashmir has found three officers including Tehsildar Dooru 'guilty'.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan had also ordered a departmental enquiry against the three revenue department officers and attached them with the officer of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, however suspended Tehsilddar reportedly defied the orders and joined back.
Early Times had published a detailed reports with regard to the illegal constructions all along the expressway.
Various orders issued by the divisional commissioner Kashmir have vindicated reports of this newspaper and internal inquiry clearly states that the officers responsible for stopping the constructions 'slept over the issue'
