Jammu, July 16: New India Assurance Company (NIAC) insured more than 10,000 hajis belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, who are undertaking sacred Haj Pilgrimage from 14th July, 2018 for a period of three months.
This personal accident insurance policy was issued to the Chief Executive Officer of Jammu and Kashmir State Haj Committee (JKSHC) by Dr. Daleep Pandita, Senior Divisional Manager and Mohd. Shafi Bhat, Senior Branch Manager of the company.
While elaborating this scheme, Dr. Pandita stated that this policy cover risks due to any type of accident during the period of pilgrimage from their exit at Srinagar airport till return entry up to 13th October, 2018. It only covers persons registered with JKSHC for sum insured of Rs. Three lacs per Haji. Neither any age bar nor any medical examination was conducted to Hajis for undertaking this insurance said Bhat. |
