| Poshana Village in Surankote lacks basic facilities | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, July 23: Poshana Village which falls in low lying area near highway in Tehsil Surankote has been lacking all basic facilities including transport , water , electricity and medical , sources said here today.
Consisting on eight thousand souls the Poshana village and its adjoining area have been deprived of the basic amenities for years together. No body either from Tehsil administration or district level have bothered to take the stock of problems pertaining to locals of this village
Health Sub centre in this village is without staff and medicines. There was no facility of ambulance in the Village. On times when someone needs medical help the situation becomes difficult as how to reach on the highway along with patient because terrain is very tedious and tough , they added. The department of PHE too fails to send its concerned engineers to look into their problems.
The locals rued the official apathy while talking to Early Times a retired headmaster said that we have electricity transformer on road side and for the last six months it has been not installed by the PDD he said adding we have told a number of times tehsil administration to hear our pleas but they failed to provide us any help, he added.
Social worker of area, Akash Malik has urged the district administration to provide all basic facilities to the people of village who have been deprived of the same since years , he added. |
