Jammu, July 23: After her weeklong protest ended Monday, a senior KAS officer Rehana Batul joined as Director General of Rural Development (RDD) Jammu, relieving Mohammad Mumtaz Ali.
Early Times had in Monday's edition published a report headlined GAD takes one step forward, two steps back over protest of Batul who was reportedly posted below her rank she currently holds.
"Mohammad Mumtaz Ali, Director, RDD, Jammu, who had been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, was Monday relieved from the post", sources informed.
However raising fingers over unauthorized stay of Mumtaz Ali as Director RDD despite his transfer on July 16, sources said that orders issued by him need to be scrutinized.
"It has been learnt from insiders that during his stay, especially, these six days post his transfer, he has given undue benefits to many people", sources said and added that it has been talk of town the junior most officer was posted as Director RDD Jammu to serve a purpose. |
