Pvt schools of Doda highlight issues pertaining to SRO 292

Doda, July 23: A meeting of Private Schools of District Doda was organized under the Chairmanship of Ajay Gupta General Secretary J &K PSA Jammu in Green Model Higher Secondary School.
District President O.P. Chandail highlighted the issues pertaining to the SRO 292 of July 2018 by virtue of which government has come with certain amendments in SRO123 of 2010, hurdles in obtaining recognition upto Middle Standard by DSE Jammu, Labour laws and minimum wages Act. Reading out the hardships members from Khellani, Hambal, Bhella, Bhaderwah, Marmat, Chagroo, Thathri, Ghat, Doda and others and it has become difficult for them to run Private schools in the far flung areas of Doda district as most of the schools are low budget self financed schools.
Members demanded the simple and genuine mechanism to save this venture from harassment and extinction. General Secretary of JKPSA Ajay Gupta, while addressing the august gathering said that Government has brought all the SRO's and Acts only on the basis of hypothetical presumptions which are not tolerable. Association will fight with tooth and nails so that genuine Private schools can flourish without any fear psychosis.
He appealed to the Governor of the State N.N. Vohra to intervene and install a simple mechanism for those who are rendering yeomen service by charging genuine and affordable fee.
