Chandi Mata Chhari Leaves for Atholi Padder from Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Aug 19: Mata Chandi's Chhari Mubarak today left from Kishtwar to onward journey towards Chandi dham, Machail Paddar.
Thousands of devotees including women and children accompanied the Chhari Mubarak amid chanting of religious slogans and singing of Bhajans filling the atmosphere with spiritual ambience.
The main function was held at Chowgan Kishtwar, where huge gathering comprising around 10,000 people devotees. The Chhari of Chandi Mata reached Kishtwar last night and was accorded a grand reception by people. The officers of district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana and SSP, Kishtwar Rajinder Kumar Gupta remained present till the arrival of Chari at Kishtwar and departure towards Padder. The officers also monitored the arrangements for boarding, lodging and security arrangements of the pilgrims. A grand jagrata was also organised at night at Zellana village by the members of Mahajan Community in which renowned singers presented bhaints and bhajans of Mata Chandi. In the morning after performing pooja at Shiv Mandir Sarkoot, the Chhari Mubarak atop a well decked up vehicle, left for Padder.
Enroute, warm welcome was accorded to the Chhari Mubarak at various places like, Kuleed, Wassar, Zellana, 9 Sector RR, Dool, Galhar, Padhyarna, Karthie, Keejie, Kundal. The locals paid obeisance and sought the blessing of Mata Chandi.
