| Drug peddler held with 4 gram heroin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 19: Continuing its special drive against the drug abuse launched by Ramban Police launched by SSP Ramban-Anita Sharma, police party of Ramban police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 4 gram heroin from his possession.
Police spokesman said that party led by Inspector Vijay Kotwal-SHO Ramban under supervision of Asgar Malik-DySP HQ Ramban and under close supervision of Sanjay Parihar- Aditional SP raised a naka near Shan Palace, Ramban.
"During Checking one suspected person started fleeing from the spot to avoid checking. But the cops chased the suspected person and apprehended him", said spokesman adding that on his personal search police recovered heroin weighing about 04gms from his possession.
The said person disclosed his identity as Shabir Ahmed of Doru Anantnag presently staying at Kow Bagh Ramban and was arrested while the consignment was seized.
In this regard, a case under FIR NO 125/18 under section 8/21 of NDPS ACT has been registered against the said accused person at Ramban police station. |
