YAC organizes rally

Jammu, Aug 19: The Youth Action Committee for Playground constituted by the youth of the area organized a rally from Chatha Farm to Chatha Pind demanding the construction of the playground at Floriculture Garden between Bhour Camp and Indra Nagar. The rally was a part of the spontaneous ongoing movement (Going on for last 22 days) of the people from adjoining 8-10 Panchayats comprising nearly 25 villages for the traditional playground which has taken away by the Floriculture Department . The rally was attended by 150-200 people from Chatha Farm, Bhour Camp, Chatha Pind, Brij Nagar, Prem Nagar, Rohi Morh, Miran Sahib, Gadi Garh, Indra Nagar.The participants shouted the slogans like 'We Want Playground', Yuvaon ki ek hi Maang, Khel Maidan, Khel Maidan', Hum Kya Chahte, Khel Maidan' Yuva Shakti Zindabaad '. The youth of the area have been protesting against the ploughing of the land where the youth of the area have been playin for the last 40-50 years.They also emphasized that there is no such a big playground from Satwari to R.S. Pura.They also said the land has been handed over to Floriculture Department against the demand of the local people for the playground at the same place. The Sarpanch of the Halqa Panchayat Chatha Pind , Gurmeet Kour also spoke on the ocassion and demanded from the govt that the ground that has been handed over to the Floriculture Department had actually been used by the youth of the area for playing, practicing for the recruitment in various belt forces , morning and evening walks, etc. and so the youth who want to play deserve the playground for the same.The member of the Youth action Commitee said.
